About Tyler.

Hello, I’m Jordyn Burt—Tyler’s sister and the founder of Just Dew It. Inspired by his journey as a young stroke survivor, our mission is to cover his medical expenses so he can return home to Michigan, continue his rehab, and live comfortably. We’re also dedicated to raising awareness that strokes can affect people of any age. Young survivors like Tyler deserve recognition, support, and hope for recovery.

My brother, Tyler, is 32 years old, a copywriter, and creative with a rare gift for making people feel seen and understood. To me, Tyler is not just my brother, Tyler is my best friend, music sensei, my human grammarian, and someone I go to when I know I’ll hear the right thing.

In late 2024, Tyler’s life changed forever when he suffered a sudden stroke. He spent nearly a month in a coma, and we were faced with the unthinkable possibility of losing him. Then, against all odds, Tyler woke up.

Since then, he has been working tirelessly in rehabilitation, step by step reclaiming his independence. His progress has been remarkable, but his journey is far from over. The next big step is bringing him home to Michigan, where he can continue rehab surrounded by family, friends, and a community that loves him.

This is where Just Dew It: A Movement for Tyler Burt comes in. Our nonprofit is dedicated to supporting Tyler’s medical needs, covering specialized transport, ongoing rehab, and essential equipment that will help him rebuild his daily life. We also raise awareness that strokes can happen to anyone, even young people like Tyler, and that survivors deserve the chance to be seen, supported, and hopeful.

Your support makes this possible. Whether it is through a donation, purchasing an item from Tyler’s rehab-approved registry, or simply sharing his story, every action brings us closer to getting Tyler home and giving him the independence he deserves.

Yes, a stroke can change your life. It can change how you think, what you can do, and the challenges you face. But it does not change who you are at your core. Tyler has remained the same genuine, gentle, and endlessly kind person he has always been. Everyone he meets, nurses, doctors, friends, and strangers, feels that.

With your help, his next chapter will not be defined by what he lost, but by everything he will gain. A stroke can change the body, the pace, the path, but it can never change the truth of who someone is.
